Schedule and Requirements


ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

  1. POLICY STATEMENT
    To ensure the attainment of producing highly competitive graduates through quality education, the University requires students to qualify for admission on the basis of the entrance examination or the Bulacan State University Admission Test (BSUAT) and their GPA in the first and second grading periods of the fourth year.

  2. POLICY GUIDELINES

    APPLICANTS

    1. For College Freshmen
      1. High school candidates for graduation in the current school year are qualified to apply for the BSUAT. The following may also apply, subject to clearance from the Registrar's Office:
        1. Philippine Educational Placement Test (PEPT) qualifiers; High School graduates: (the original form 138 must be presented); Candidates for graduation from foreign schools, (his academic records, his pertinent immigration documents, must be presented when required);
        2. Foreigners graduating from local schools (same requirements as no. 3 above).
        Authorized persons may file the application forms for the applicant, (e.g. parents, relatives, teachers, guardians) The BSUAT shall be administered according to the guidelines set forth by the Office of Admissions of the University. All applicants are required to take the examination only once.
      2. Applicants who fail to qualify for the first course preference may qualify for other courses on condition that their grades meet the grade requirements of the college/course of their second choice.

      Grade Requirements - College Freshmen
      1. To qualify for admission in the College of Engineering (COE), Institute of Architecture and Fine Arts (IARFA), College of Education (COED), Institute of Arts and Letters, Institute of Science, Institute of Social Science and Philosophy, Institute of Nursing, Institute of Home Economics (INSHE), Institute of Computer Education (ICE) and Institute of Physical Education, Recreation and Sports - a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 83% in Mathematics, Science and Technology and English + a GPA of 83% in all academic subjects (Filipino, Social Science, English, Mathematics and Science) in the 2nd grading period of 4th year report card. Nursing and Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) applicants will be interviewed after passing the qualifying exams.
      2. There are no grade requirement to qualify for the College of Industrial Technology (CIT).


    2. For High School Freshmen
      1. Elementary school graduates with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 83% in 5 academic subjects (Filipino, HEKASI, English, Math, & Science) are qualified to apply for the BSUAT.
      2. Authorized persons may file the application forms in the name of the applicant, e.g.: parents, relatives, teachers, principals, guardians).

SCHEDULE AND REQUIREMENTS

    A. For College Freshmen
    Application Period: September to November 2007

    Requirements:
    1. Form 138 (2nd grading of 4th Year Report Card) duly signed and certified by the Principal or Adviser.
    2. 2 pcs. 2x2 recent ID picture
    3. Non-refundable testing fee of PhP 300.00

    B. Shifters (Within BSU only)
    Requirements:
    1. Photocopy of registration form or class cards
    2. 2 pcs. 2x2 recent ID picture
    3. Non-refundable testing fee of PhP 300.00

    Shifters to 4- and 5-Year courses (degree courses)
    Application period: February 2007

    Shifters to College of Industrial Technology
    (2-Year technical, ladderized courses)
    Application Period: Same as College Freshmen Schedule

    C. Transferees (from other school)

    Requirements:
    1. Photocopy of transcript of record
    2. 2 pcs. 2x2 recent ID picture
    3. Non-refundable testing fee of PhP 300.00

    Transferees to 4- and 5-Year courses (degree courses)
    Application period: February 2007

    Transferees to College of Industrial Technology
    (2-Yeatr technical, ladderized courses)
    Application period: Same as College Freshmen Schedule

    D. C.I.T. Incoming 3rd Year
    Application period: February 2008

    Requirements:
    1. Photocopy of registration form or I.D.
    2. 2 pcs. 2x2 recent ID picture
    3. Non-refundable testing fee of PhP 300.00

    E. For High School Freshmen
    Application Period: April 1 to 30, 2008

    Requirements:
    1. Original and photocopy of form 138 (report card - final grade)
    2. 2 pcs. 2x2 recent ID picture
    3. Non-refundable testing fee of PhP 300.00
