Welcome to BulSU Bustos Campus History | Mission | Vision | Goals | Contact Us The Bulacan State University-Bustos (BulSU Bustos) is the biggest satellite campuses in the university. For almost quarter of a century, BSUB has metamorphosed of the center of vocational and technical courses of a breeding ground of future educators and industrial technologist and as a feeder school of engineering aspirants to the main campus. Conscious of the vision and mission of the university, BSUB has become one of the higher education institutions in Bulacan at par with leading learning institutions in the region. From the year it was founded, the external campus grew physically from
sharing roof with the Bustos Elementary school to a five -room former
public market building to the imposing the campus that it is today. The
school grew as well from offering vocational technical courses and trade
secondary school curriculum and two-year technical education courses to
the four year and five-year degree programs that it now offers. The campus
boast of its upgraded and revitalized curriculum. History The BSU-Bustos Campus started in 1973 as the Bustos Vocational Technical School, initiated by General Alejo S. Santos of Bustos, Bulacan, together with other civic-minded citizens of the province, with the objective of putting up a school that would cater to the needs of the barrio folks in the municipality of Bustos. In the following year, the school was in full operation offering courses in Radio Mechanic, Tailoring, Dressmaking and Automotive Mechanic, handled by Mr. Jose Lava Jr., Ms. Isabelita Jose, Mr. Pablo Nicdao, Mr. Romualdo Dionisio, Mr. Danilo Hilario, with Loreto Estrella as principal. In 1975, the Vocational school founded by the retired general was absorbed by the Bulacan College of Arts and Trades and was renamed the Bulacan College of Arts and Trades, Bustos Campus. Different faculty members from the BCAT Malolos Campus were assigned to lead the external campus, to wit:: (1) in 1975, Mr. Simplicio Reyes, (2) 1976-1979, Mr. Venancio Magdirila, (3) Mr. Aurelio Dionisio, from 1979-1991, (4) Mr. Edgardo Mateo, 1992, (4) Dr. Danilo Hilario, 1993, Mr. Edgardo Mateo was reinstated in 1994 as the head of the BSU Bustos Campus. From the year it was founded, the external campus grew physically, from sharing roof with the Bustos Elementary School, through a five-room former public market building, to additional new buildings, to the imposing edifices the institution presently occupies. The Bustos Campus grew up from offering vocational technical courses and the trade secondary school curriculum, through the two-year technical education courses, to the four-year and five-year degree programs that it now offers. Vision The Bulacan State University is envisioned to be a center of instruction and training of Higher learning relevant and excellent responsive to the changing needs of the people, specifically in the second district of Bulacan. It is challenge to play an effective role in harnessing the potential or the nation towards the path of national progress and development. Mission While the Bulacan State University Bustos subscribes to the vision and mission statements of the different colleges and institute of the main campus, for its part, it shall carry out its task by providing the highest quality of advanced instruction, research, and continuing education and community extension services.
