Vision

The Bulacan State University envisions itself to be one of the country’s leading institutions in developing graduates capable of responding to the needs of the region and the demands of global standards. Aspiring to improve the quality of life of the people and promote the socio-economic development of its service areas, the institution shall pursue excellence in its programs and will manage its affairs with efficiency and effectiveness.

Goals

Ensuring the attainment of empowered and globally competitive graduates through:

  1. Quality and Excellence Promoting and upgrading quality and excellent engineering courses to meet the domestic and international standards.
  2. Relevance and Responsiveness Creating and integrating of knowledge, skills and attitudes relevant and responsive to the exigencies of the time and ever-changing society.
  3. Access and Equity Expanding the access of deserving and qualified students to educational opportunities.
  4. Efficiency and Effectiveness Maximizing social, institutional and individual returns and benefits derived from the utilization of higher education resources.

General Objcetives

Engineering Education is primarily concerned with providing the students with the highest degree of knowledge, skills and competence in the Arts and Science of Engineering and in their growth and development within the framework of the democratic ideals and spiritual values.

Specific Objectives of Civil Engineering

  • To educate students with the proper comprehension regarding the career they have chosen to be able to cope with the needs and demands of the society they will soon serve.
  • To develop the engineering skills for their own growth and for the advancement of industrialization.
  • To produce potential Civil Engineers imbued with Christian awareness, pride, honor and dignity.
  • To equip the students with knowledge and techniques of basic civil engineering theories and practices to meet the needs and demands of the community and of the region.
  • To train and develop student skills and abilities in the performance of the different civil engineering works in accordance with the current trends and practices of the profession.

Specific Objectives of Electrical Engineering

  • To educate students with the proper comprehension regarding the career they have chosen to be able to cope with the needs and demands of the society they will soon serve.
  • To develop the engineering skills for their own growth and for the advancement of industrialization.
  • To produce potential Electrical Engineers imbued with Christian awareness, pride, honor and dignity.
  • To produce graduates with necessary theoretical knowledge needed to acquire the experience and skills of Electrical Engineer.
  • To contribute to the nation’s development by educating the youth in high quality Electrical Engineering education with sense of social responsibility and accountability, establishing values of honor, sense of urgency and love of work.

Specific Objectives of Mechanical Engineering

  • To educate students with the proper comprehension regarding the career they have chosen to be able to cope with the needs and demands of the society they will soon serve.
  • To develop the engineering skills for their own growth and for the advancement of industrialization.
  • To produce potential  Mechanical Engineers imbued with Christian awareness, pride, honor and dignity.
  • Providing mechanical engineering students general education to help them appreciate human nature and understand its inter-relationships with their future technical works.
  • Providing mechanical engineering students technical education in the design, development, manufacture, operation, and maintenance of power-producing, as well as power-consuming machinery and devices.
  • Providing mechanical engineering students a well rounded education in preparation to professional works.

Objectives of Electronics and Communications Engineering

  • To provide students with fundamentals of electronics and communications engineering that will allow them to be immediately competitive in industry or in graduate work while providing them  the best opportunity in achieving their full potential in their chosen career.
  • To develop a sense of professional responsibility and social awareness.
  • To provide practical applications and hands-on work that will help the students to work well independently or as part of a group.
  • To provide the students with opportunities to contribute to the advancement through active participation in exploratory projects and research and development activities.
  • To promote a strong sense of nationalism and cultivate in the students an informed and sophisticated world view.

Objectives of Computer Engineering

  • To provide students with strong foundation in the basic physical and engineering sciences which could be a tool in planning design, development, management and maintenance of computer systems.
  • To prepare graduates to lead in the design, analysis and application of hardware and software computing structures for professional Computer Engineering career.
  • To train the students to be knowledgeable of human, financial, physical and resource management and equip them with essential graduate research skills, specializing  in one of the Computer Engineering fields.
  • To promote the holistic growth of the students by providing them with opportunities to enhance not only their vocational skills but also their life-perspectives and value-system.
  • To develop critical thinking and scientific inquiry through active participation in research endeavors.
  • To promote a strong sense of nationalism through productive involvement in extension and community outreach programs.

Objectives of Industrial Engineering

  • To prepare students for a professional Industrial Engineering Career including a leading role in the design, improvement and installation of integrated systems of people, materials, information, equipment and energy.
  • To produce graduates with specialized knowledge skills in the mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate the results obtained from such systems.
  • To prepare for graduate work and research in at least one area in the practice.

Objectives of Mechatronics Engineering

  • To train the students in the synergistic integration of precision mechanical engineering, electronics and control engineering, and systems thinking into the design, construction and test of intelligent products and processes.
  • To embed the students with the multi-disciplinary knowledge and
    skills capable of responding to the global need of high technology
    industry.
  • To develop and produce inter-disciplinary graduates with the sense of responsibility, accountability, urgency and love of work, and concerned in the enhancement of aesthetic and cultural values.
