The Administration of Bulacan State University has always sought ties with institutions from within the Philippines and other neighboring countries in order to facilitate the development of both its students and faculty members. This notion was reinforced during the 50th anniversary of the Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges (PASUC) which was held at the Fortune Seafood Restaurant in D. Macapacal Avenue Pasay City on July 4, 2017 at seven in the evening.

The dinner event was presided by incumbent PASUC President, Dr. Ricardo E. Rotoras, and was joined by representatives from different State Colleges/Universities as well as delegates from international institutions from across the Asia-Pacific region. The participants indulged in a scrumptious dinner with light discussions about strengthening international relations which culminated in an invitation from Taiwanese institutions for a faculty/student exchange program. Dr. Cecilia N. Gascon was delighted when she asked to select one BulSU faculty member, one that is currently undertaking his/her doctorate degree, as a representative for the aforementioned exchange program. This request was viewed by the President as a good avenue to implement the faculty development goal of the administration which is set to begin this academic year.

PASUC is an association of public tertiary school level institutions in the Philippines with 102 State Universities and Colleges (SUC) which are under the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as members.
