University President Dr. Cecilia N. Gascon and officials from the BulSU Finance Department led by Chief Admin Officer for Finance Dr. Evangelina G. Custodio, Budget Officer Nenita B. Chico, Anacleta Santos, and Merirose Musca proceeded to attend the Pre-Plenary Budget hearing at the Senate Building in Pasay City.
During the hearing, Senator Juan Edgardo Angara said each of the 112 SUCs in the country will receive 10 million for infrastructure and equipment, while Senate Finance Committee Chairperson and Senator Loren Legarda mentioned that each SUC will receive P5 million to get free internet access. Overall, the Senate finance committee approved a budget of P14.1 billion for CHED for 2018.
