BulSU joins SCUAA III Olympics 2019

Back again to showcase their athletic supremacy, the existing champion for 22 consecutive years, Bulacan State University (BulSU) Gold Gears, participated in the opening ceremony of the State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association of Region III (SCUAA III) held at the New Clark City Stadium in Capas, Tarlac, February 2, 2020.

Hosting the annual regional sporting event for the second consecutive year is Tarlac State University, with the theme “Trust. Strength. Unity.”

BulSU President Dr. Cecilia S. Navasero-Gascon and the BulSU Administrative Council joined other university administrators from other participating universities, and Local Government Units of Capas, Tarlac who were present to show support to the athletes taking part in the games.

President and CEO of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Mr. Vivencio “Vince” Dizon served as the guest of honor of the ceremony.

SCUAA III is scheduled to last for a week, closing on February 8, 2020 at the Grandstand of the Training and Doctrine Command, Philippine Army in Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac.

Originally scheduled in December 2019, the SCUAA III Executive Board and Board of Management decided to first give way to our country’s hosting of the 30th Southeast Asian Games, wherein the New Clark City Stadium was also one of the venues; moving SCUAA III to February 2020.
