BulSU aids, acts against COVID-19

True to its vision to become globally recognized in responsive community engagement, Bulacan State University continues to get hold of ways to extend its aid and support to communities in need. As the Philippines is currently irked by the COVID-19 crisis which resulted in Luzon lockdown since March 14, 2020, BulSU has been actively participating in different activities initiated by the local government of the Province of Bulacan and of the City of Malolos.

Faculty members from the different colleges volunteered and helped in the packaging of the relief goods at the Bulacan Capitol Gymnasium. These relief packages were distributed to the poverty-stricken areas in the Province of Bulacan.

The University also donated face masks and alcohol that benefited our health workers and front-liners in various hospitals; all while staying vigilant and compliant to the safety measures set by the government.

On the other hand, the University also requested the assistance of the City Government of Malolos for a Sanitation and Disinfecting Procedure which were conducted within the premises of the BulSU Main Campus.

Weeks even before the suspension, thermal scanners were already placed in all the gates to ensure the employees and students did not show any symptoms of the virus. In addition, the University continuously provides heads up on relevant information to the BulSU community with regard to the preparation, response, and resilience in the face of the COVID-19 crisis.
