Project GEARtues: General Education Aimed at Realizing Virtues

While the first five webinars were all about preparations for the new normal learning set-up, the sixth episode turn over a new leaf, and focused on the finding the right state of mind and spirit.

“Today’s webinar is about finding the correct attitude, the right values, and the noble virtues because the new normal challenges us not only to be mentally prepared but to be spiritually prepared as well”, shared Assoc. Prof. Joseph Roy Celestino, the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs for the Main Campus

With the theme “Hamon ng Kagandahang Asal: Limiin. Pusuan, at Pagsumikapan”, the resource speaker Mr. Audee Villaraza used major points to summarize his spiritual lecture: Choose We Not Me, telling the viewers to always put first the greater good; Openness Over Opinion, saying that we should be acceptive ideas and corrections from others; Blessing Over Bragging and Divine Mission over Personal Ambition; and used different Bible verses and analogies to further explain his points.
